ceTo begin the PAN registration process, applicants must first access the official website of the Inland Revenue Department (IRD). This portal serves as the primary platform for accessing various online services offered by the IRD. From the homepage, users should navigate to the “Registration” section, which presents several options related to registration services.
Next, applicants will be directed to a detailed registration form where all required personal details must be accurately entered. Within the ‘Verifying Offices’ section, individuals must select the IRD office nearest to their residence or business location. Upon completing the form, the system will generate a unique submission number for reference.
Using the generated submission number, applicants should click on the ‘Continue’ button to access the PAN application e-form. At this stage, it is essential to upload a recent passport-sized photograph along with the required supporting documents. Once the form is fully completed, click ‘Save’. If any corrections are needed, users can log in using their username, password, and submission number to make changes. After finalizing, click ‘Submit’ and ensure to print a copy of the completed application form.
Finally, the applicant must visit the nearest IRD office with the printed copy of the application. The submitted documents will be reviewed and verified by the IRD officials. Upon successful verification, the applicant will be issued a PAN card. Individuals must also carry their citizenship certificate, two recent passport-sized photographs, and valid identification documents (for foreign nationals, if applicable).
